The Tata Harrier, which is set to be unveiled at this year's NADA Autoshow, will be christened as the H5 in the Nepalese market. The change in name is mainly because Toyota has an international patent on the name. Toyota has used the same Harrier name since 1997 for a line of crossover SUVs (related to the Lexus RX and Toyota RAV4/Vanguard) that is still sold to this day in Japan.Nevertheless, the Tata Harrier, actually the H5, is an extremely exciting product for the Nepalese market. Being based on the Omega Arc platform, an essentially re-engineered version of the Jaguar Land Rover D8 platform adopted by models such as Range Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport and Jaguar E-Pace, the H5 (Harrier) instills the legendary DNA from Land Rover. We are centainly excited for its debut in the Nepalese automotive market and we can't wait to get our hands on it. Do stay tuned to all our platforms for more news on the H5.
